Scientific communication is an integrated and valuable facet of the scientific process, though one not often trained during academic studies. To conduct good science communication, communicators need to (a) know their audiences and consider the impact the information will have, (b) communicate both the successes and limitations of their research, and (c) continue to train their communication skills1.
